Molly Ruth

Yes, I know. About time I blog about Miss Molly! Now that she's 8 days old, it's finally setting in that we have two children now! And we're loving it.

Molly made her grand entrance last Monday, March 30th, at 8:42 am. She was 7 pounds 13 ounces and 20 inches long. After faking us out a week earlier and sending us to the hospital for a night, she decided this time she was ready, and she didn't waste any time! I was awoken to my water breaking at around 5:30 am, to which I told Michael, "My water just broke. Wait, hang on, I might have been dreaming. Nope, it broke." So we hopped up, made a quick call to the Moncriefs to take them up on their offer to keep Reed when the time came, packed our things in the car, and headed off. We dropped Reed off at the Moncriefs who were ready and waiting for us, and headed to the hospital (see Brittany's account of the morning here). A short 3 hours later and Molly Ruth was here! It was great to have Brittany watch Reed for us, and later Michael's parents stay overnight with him at our house. Very nice to not have to worry about how Reed was doing. He seemed to really enjoy his adventure!

We've been lucky this past week to have dinners prepared by family, friends and neighbors, and we really appreciate you all! Granna has been helping me during the days while Michael is at work, and I'm sure going to miss her (she's headed back to her real job tomorrow). It sure makes it easier to recover when she's here to help with Reed, cook and clean!

Well, on to the good stuff. Here's a slideshow that Brittany put together, and more photos here. Thanks again to Brittany for all the great photos! Most of these are hers - I'm sure you'll be able to tell which ones!

My favorite photos: Reed waiting for Ada by the window, Reed sitting on his chair with the TV remote, and the last one of Babydoll Molly. I swear in that photo she looks just like a Cabbage Patch doll I used to have! I'm glad you're all doing well.
